Clean Shot

The field was in chaos, she stood at a corner watching. More and more deep breath. She was in panic mode and then she spotted him. "Bimbo" she sneered and started walking, increasing her pace. She aimed the shotgun at him but shot the third guy behind. Bimbo laughed and rode the bike like a maniac while one of his men fell off leaving just two of them on the bike. He roared the bike, speeding up while she aimed and kept going after him but couldn't get a perfect clean shot. She made a sharp turn and aimed at the man coming towards her wearing a "Davido" face mask. She corked the gun but she had run out of bullets but pointed it at him still. "Why did you block me?" He took off his mask and raised his hands in surrender. She looked at him, her face bearing no emotions "Tobi." She lowered the gun and started walking away from him, swinging the gun and finally letting it rest on her right shoulder. Tobi walked to catch up with her and smiled ...

Surviving COVID19

The pupils were lined up for the morning assembly amidst chattering and pleasantries. Soon enough it was quiet as the proprietress walked in, grim looking. The air of uncertainty was strong that morning. I looked on with rasped attention, waiting for her to drop the news that everyone had heard but needed confirmation for.  The silent was heavy. For some, they were trying to stiffle their joy in anticipation. For me, i wasn't sure what to hope for.  "Good morning everyone, let's put our hand together. All things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small..." *****      *****  The school cafeteria. "I'll take two doughnuts please." 5AM

Up! She goes, In frantic circles, Children antsy, Hubby awake. Balls of sweat, Travel down her skin, She manuevres her way, In the heat With her tools of weaponry, And the calm and poise  Of a great warrior. Briefcase in hand, Lunch boxes set, Her army marches on, To the reality of the world. "Oh!" She sighs, In reckless abandon, "What a hell of a morning!" Written by  Anwuli Roseline ©2017

She

Loud screams,  Begging to claw it's way out All we hear is Muffled sobs and whispers They have put her in a box "You must not get out" They say to her They sing it in her ears  Till it becomes her anthem "I must not get out" In the climax of her survival She can bear it no more "I am in a box" Boxes are for tools, Boxes are for object They watch as she claws, Scratch and bite her way out I'm coming out! She sings in enthusiasm, Alas, she is out! But she looks on with disbelief, They have built her - A bigger box. She is a voice She is a song She is a movement She is human  And - She will be heard. I just really really really want to stare into your eyes, your soul, Take a step, two steps maybe  and kiss you with all of my heart I want to feel your skin,  Trace every part of it with my fingers I want to rope my hands around your waist,  Draw you closer, Caress your hips, your face and Grab your bum I want to love you insanely Make you feel every single touch I want to hear you moan Under rasped breath, It's like music to my ears. You intoxicate me I want to bask in your desire, Feel you throb in pleasure. I want to make love to you Written by Anwuli Roseline
