Nigerian Police...

Its no longer news that Lagos police are gradually
becoming blood-thirsty these days... Trailing the
incidents or recents events, one can't help but wonder why
innocent citizens especially the okada riders are
victims of this babaric killings... When questioned about
their acts, they say its was self defence... Really??? Self-
defence to snap out one's life? Last I checked, officers
had arms and bikers had alms... Maybe, just maybe its
the police way of telling the government their
frustrations... The lackadaisical attitude of the
government on people salary is beginning to tell on them,
that's why we are having strike everywhere... Recently I
strolled with a friend to purchase fruits and while waiting
for my change, there was commotion obviously as a
result of a tussle between a policeman and a keke-napep
driver... The policeman threw punches at the helpless
man face and people though agitated couldn't do
anything... The policeman had a gun...obviously a man
with a gun was stronger than a crowd without weapons,
no one want to die...so I'm made to believe, even if we will
all die finally... I kept pestering the lady for my change
as it seems she was carried away with the drama and I
was having a funny premonition the gun would go off if
the officer ran out of punches... I collected my change
and hurried off...in few minutes, we heard a gunshot and
looking back, I could see people running helter skelter...
''See???? I told you!'' I said to my friend while still fleeing
for lives... Whether he opened fire on the man or he shot
the air to scare people away, one cud not tell bt I wudnt
wait to find out...afterall, I don't want to die yet... Lol...
